This is where I will be listing different interpretations or solidifying my understanding of the bare bones of what the text is saying. I think that I will continue to update this or relate future posts back to it, so it may look slightly unfinished now!

• The machine is the "war machine" and without its development of weapons, production, etc there would be no maintenance of the status quo
